Ospital ng Binan and Kansai Paint Philippines Inc. MOU Signing
Binan City Mayor Walfredo “Arman” Dimaguila and Kansai Paint Philippines, Inc President Akiyoshi Watanabe
signed a Memorandum of Understanding last March 2, 2020, making the City of Binan the first recipient of ALES SHIQUY,
the first and only anti-virus and anti-bacteria paint in the Philippines, manufactured by Kansai Paint Ltd. Japan and
distributed locally by Kansai Paint Philippines, Inc (KPPI).
This forms part of KPPI’s CSR program to help stop the spread of disease-causing viruses in the community,
especially during this time when there are serious global concerns on the outbreak of the COVID-19.
“Protection of our people’s health and welfare is the primary concern of the City Government of Binan”, commented
Mayor Dimaguila, “therefore we express our appreciation to Kansai Paint Philippines, Inc. for introducing this revolutionary paint,
Ales Shiquy, to us”.
To maximize the benefits of Ales Shiquy, it was decided that the paint be used for the hospital’s Emergency Room (ER),
wherein the quick spread of bacteria and viruses could most likely occur.
Also present during the signing were Dr. Melbril Alonte, Medical Director of Ospital ng Binan, Barangay Binan Councilor Ricardo Tolentino. KPPI Asst. General Manager Myrna Valle, and KPPI Marketing Supervisor Jeffrey Sardalla.
